About this work

This work consists of raw, unedited video fragments recorded during the artist's art tour across Ukrainian cities in spring 2024. Filmed in Kharkiv, Kryvyi Rih, and Irpin, the footage documents urban landscapes marked by missile strikes and large-scale destruction. The handheld recordings retain instability, ambient sound, and interruption, resisting aesthetic refinement.

The work approaches the camera as a tool of presence rather than composition. By remaining unpolished and unnamed, the video fragments avoid narrative framing or resolution, allowing destruction to appear without mediation. The landscapes are presented not as symbols, but as lived environments bearing visible traces of violence.

Untitled reflects on land and memory as inseparable conditions. The ground, streets, and buildings function as an open archive shaped by war, where loss and persistence coexist. Refusing closure, the work holds space for witnessing rather than explanation.
